National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Bulgaria
Supports the development of the career consultant profession in Bulgaria
On the 9th of January 2007 the Bulgarian mission of the National Board for Certified Counselors NBCC Bulgaria was found to support the development of the career consultant profession and the system of professional career counseling in the country.
NBCC Bulgaria:
Business Foundation for Education founded by JobTiger Ltd. whose Managing Director is Mrs. Gergana Rakovska (on the photo), represents NBCC in Bulgaria.
NBCC Bulgaria is aiming at being recognized as the center for training and constant improving of knowledge for the career consultants in Bulgaria..
NBCC was established 25 years ago in the USA. It is a leading institution in certifying career consultants, mental health consultants and etc. NBCC works for creating and applying with professional standards and supports the development of the certified specialists.
In the recent years NBCC is opening national missions around the world and is helping the creation of standards in appliance with different economic and cultural specifics and social needs. NBCC Bulgaria is a part of the international offices network - NBCC International – an NBCC section for coordination activities outside the USA.

Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) is one of the most famous and successful NBCC programs. GCDF provides and verifies skills to give assistance in regard with career. This program is applied by professionals in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, China, Germany, Turkey and Romania. In 2005 GCDF was adapted and implemented in Bulgaria.
Almost 150 specialists – universities’ career consultants, pedagogical advisors from secondary and vocational schools, managers form the HR and employment services sphere - have been already trained and certified in Bulgaria under the GCDF program.
GCDF program effected the development of the career consultant profession, which has already been included in the National Classifier. Building the system for offering professional career services in the secondary and vocational schools will have a long-term impact on the successful professional realization of the young people and the economic development.
