1000 young unemployed people will be trained in key skills for employment

In April 2010 starts the implementation of the project ”New employment – key skills for employment”, part of the National action plan for employment 2010. The project is aimed at one of the most vulnerable groups at the labor market (especially in a moment of crisis) – the unemployed young people, up to 29 years of age.
The main aim of the project’s activities is to increase the flexibility of the unemployed young people, their swift adaptability towards the labor market in an economic crisis environment, attainment of entrepreneurship skills and to provide them with opportunities at the labor market.    
The activities are implemented by BFE and the Centre for information and vocational guidance “Tiger Club” in partnership with the project coordinator -  Podkrepa” Trade Union.
The project will include 1000 unemployed young people, up to 29 years of age. Priority will be given to those who have graduated from university in 2008, 2009 and 2010, registered in the National Employment Agency’s offices in 9 regions – Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Ruse, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Shumen and Sofia region. 
The project’s specific aims are:
·               Motivation and encouragement of the targeted group of young people to actively seek career fulfillment;
·              Informationcareer and vocational guidance of young people about the situation and requirements of the labor market;
·               Mastering of important key competences, new skills for employment and entrepreneurship necessary for their future career fulfillment;  
·               Insuring employment for at least 30 % of the participants, in accordance with the preliminary interest shown by employers in the sector.
